Pres. Weah commissioned Digitized Work Permit System

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has formally commissioned a five-year project seeking to digitize the work permit system of the Ministry of Labor.

President Weah said:” The initiative will bring Liberia on par with other countries, having operated the system manually for decades. The current innovation will not only improve efficiency, but also increase revenue generation and provide new employment opportunities.”

He said the project will also enhance the capacity of the Ministry of Labor to protect and defend the rights of workers across the Country.

The project will be implemented by the Liberian Government through the Labor Ministry, with support from CETIS Graphic   and Documentation Services Company based in Slovenia.

President Weah said:” The project will also provide for upfront delivery for over five-million United States Dollars of ultra-modern electronic equipment, as well as the supply of vehicles and motorbikes.”
