“Vice President Taylor’s statement was taken out of context”-Rep. Cole

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Bong County District-Three Representative Marvin Cole has come in strong defense of Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor’s recent controversial comments in the County.

In a FrontPage Africa publication on Thursday, September 1, 2022, the Vice President is quoted as saying “President Weah will win the 2023 Election with or without the support of Bong County.”

Vice President Taylor’s statement has since generated mixed reactions in the County, with some calling on the Vice President to retract her statement.

Speaking on ELBC Bumper Show on Thursday, September 1, 2022, Representative Cole said Vice President Taylor’s statement was taken out of context.

The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Lawmaker argued that Madam Taylor was speaking in context aimed at appealing to the consciences of the Bong County people, ahead of the 2023 Presidential and Legislative Elections.
