Gov’t of Liberia recommits to protecting its citizens

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie has renewed Government’s commitment to the protection of its citizens.

Minister Rennie’s comment comes in the wake of speculations that Government was behind the recent fire incident on the home of Unity Party (UP) Chairman, Rev. Luther Tarpeh.

He said:” Such allegation is irresponsible and has no element of truth, the Administration of President George Weah is not in the business of physically attacking political rivals.”

Minister Ledgerhood Rennie described President Weah as a ‘man of peace’, who ascribes to the democratic process, respect for human rights and the rule of law.
