There is need to re-establish Corporative Development Bank in Liberia-Prof. Tarpeh

GBARNGA, BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has stressed the need for the re-establishment of the Corporative Development Bank (CDB) in Liberia.

Professor Wilson Tarpeh promised to work with the Corporative Development Agency (CDA) to ensure the reestablishment of the bank, where farmers will have access to loan to improve their farming activities.

The EPA Boss was speaking over the weekend in Gbarnga, Bong County, during celebrations marking one-hundred-years of existence of the CDA.

The celebrations brought together farmers from diverse corporative groups, and highlighted the importance of the CDA AS A SECTOR OF Government.

For her part, CDA Registrar General, Regina Sokan Teah, spoke about the Agency’s collaboration with USAID and NaFAA among others, to facilitate the transformation of forty fish farmers into cooperatives in the nine coastal counties of the Liberia.

According to the Registrar General, the process is helping to protect and raise Government’s revenue, as well regulate the sector.
