Gov’t is committed to fighting power theft-Finance Minister Tweah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Finance Minister Samuel Tweah has assured of the Liberian Government’s commitment to figthing power theft.

Minister Tweah said:” President Weah has always committed himself to expose officials of Government linked to the act.”

He noted that illegal connection is causing Government millions of dollars loss in revenue generation, warning against power theft and, at the same time, urging Liberians to exercise patience, as Government is doing all it can to ensure that they are connected to the power grid.

Finance Minister Samuel Tweah was speaking over the weekend, when the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) took over the management of power from ESBI, an international power group.
