Liberian Senate cites Finance Ministry and Liberia Revenue Authority…..

MONROVIA, LIVERIA-The senators want authorities give detailed information on Arcelor Mittal Liberia’s thirty-million dollars contribution to the National Budget.

Plenary also wants the Finance Ministry provide budget performance and how monies have been shifted from one line item to another in the restated budget.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Samuel Tweah and the LRA Commissioner General, Thomas Doe Nah, are expected to appear before the Senate’s Committee on Monday, July 18, 2022.

The recast budget, in the tone of over eight-hundred-million dollars, was recently passed by the House of Representatives and forwarded to the Senate for concurrence.
