Protestors demand living or dead body of missing man in St. John, near Buchanan

ST, JOHN CITY, GRAND BASSA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Angry demonstrators on Tuesday set up road blocks and prevented vehicles from entering and leaving Buchanan, in reaction to the missing of a forty-five-year old man identified as Joseph Blama.

Joseph Blama reportedly went missing last Friday at a prayer band operated by a popular Reverend Mother, Martha Doe, in St. John City near Buchanan.

The protestors feared that the missing man might have been sacrificed for ritualistic purposes.

They told ELBC Grand Bassa County Correspondent on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, that there will be no rest until Mr. Blama is found, either dead or alive.

The Protestors also accused St. John City Mayor James Brooks of having a hand in the missing of the man.

But Mayor Brooks has since denied the allegation, saying he supports any means suggested by the community aimed at locating the missing man.
