Speak out against Sexual and Gender Based Violence in Liberia-Madam Tubman

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A female Liberian entrepreneur is challenging women to muster the courage to speak out against Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) in Liberia.

Madam Ariminty Tubman said:” Speaking out is the surest way to stimulate action from the Liberian Government and partners.”

Speaking on Sunday, March 6, 2022, ahead of the celebration of International Women’s Day, Madam Tubman further called on women not to see rape as a secret but a crime.

She said Liberian women need to step up their advocacy role in order to achieve their goal.

The Business Executive said prioritizing issues affecting women should not be an option but a necessity, a means of economic growth.

She said the current wave of SGBV in the Country must be condemned by all.
