Budget aimed at maintaining consistency and following international best practices-Minister Wolokollie

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Deputy Finance Minister for Fiscal Affairs says the new budget structure is aimed at maintaining consistency, and adhering to international best practices.

Mr.Samora Wolokollie added that the new budget calendar will put Liberia on par with other countries in the sub-region.

Minister Wolokollie said:” There is no new tax policy supporting the budget, and the Government is willing to further strengthen policies that are already in effect.”

He noted that the total projected revenue for domestic resources account for one-hundred-forty-five-million United States Dollars.

Speaking during the start of the budget hearing at the Senate on Monday, January 17, 2022, Minister Wolokollie reaffirmed the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to fiscal prudence and sound public financial management.
