Plenary of Liberian Senate orders reappearance of Gov‘t Economic Management Team

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Plenary of the Liberian Senate has ordered the reappearance of the Government’s Economic Management Team on next Tuesday.

It followed reported discrepancy in a document sent to the Senate by the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) on the printing of the new banknote.

The Commissioner General of the Liberian Revenue Authority (LRA), Thomas Doe-Nah, CBL Governor Aloysius Tarlue, Commerce Minister Mawine Diggs and the President of the Liberia Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI), John Davis, among others, represented the Technical Economic Management Team.

Following their deliberations, the Senators said:” We want practical analysis and solutions to circumstances surrounding the exchange rate and not theory.”
