Grant residents of Chicken Soup Factory Community ownership to Monrovia Industrial Park-Senator Joseph

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Montserrado County Senator, Saah Joseph, wants the Government of Liberia to grant residents of Chicken Soup Factory Community ownership to the Monrovia Industrial Park in District Twelve (12).

Senator Joseph’s statement comes in the wake of several calls from residents of the community.

In 2017, the House of Representatives submitted to the Liberian Senate, for repeal, a bill approved in 1965, declaring the land hosting the Chicken Soup Factory Community as industrial area.

Speaking over the weekend in District Twelve, Senator Joseph said:” The residents have lived all their lives in the community, and as such, government should turn over the deed to the people.”

The Montserrado County Senator also disclosed the construction of a vocational college for the people of Chicken Soup Factory Community.
