Flood renders several people homeless in Gbarnga, Bong County

GBARNGA, BONG COUNTYT – Floods have destroyed several homes in Gbarnga, Bong County, leaving several persons homeless.

ELBC Upper Bong County Correspondent, Papa Morris quotes some of the victims as attributing the flood to sand mining in the Jukpemu Community.

They said the heavy down pour took them by surprise by, leaving many to flee for their lives.

Meanwhile, the Liberian National Red Cross Society has provided five rooms to accommodate some of the flood victims.

The gesture by the Red Cross was through the intervention of Bong County Superintendent Esther Walker.

Superintendent Walker however wants other philanthropists and goodwill individuals to come to the aid of the flood victims. By (Papa Morris)
