MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberia National Police have launched an investigation into the industrial accident at the Liberia Agricultural Company in Grand Bassa County.

It followed the gruesome death of an employee of the company, Emmanuel Joe, over the weekend.

Police Spokesperson Moses Carter said the investigation is aimed at establishing circumstances surrounding the cause of the incident.

Mr. Carter disclosed that officials of the company and concerned individuals are currently being investigated to ascertain the actual cause of the incident.

For his part, Grand Bassa District#4 Representative Vincent Willie said the man reportedly fell into an industrial rubber grinder machine which led to his sudden death.

Rep. Willie asserted that he has already met with the family of the deceased but the company has expressed no remorse on the situation.

Meanwhile, the Management of the company has not commented on the incident despite all efforts made by ELBC. (By Sampson David)
