Government Identifies with Storm Victims in Nimba

Monrovia, Liberia – Residents of Kpein Township in Saclepea Mah District, Nimba County have expressed gratitude to President George Weah for identifying with victims of recent storm disaster through the National Disaster Management Agency.

The residents described the presentation of food and building materials as an attestation of the President’s interest in rural dwellers and the ordinary people.

The Executive Director of the National Disaster Management Agency Henry Williams over the weekend presented the food and building materials to victims of the recent storm which destroyed over one hundred houses in the town.

The items include one hundred bundles of zincs, one hundred boxes of nails, one hundred and forty-seven bags of rice, and eighty-three pieces of mattresses, among others.

Receiving the items on behalf of the citizens, the district Superintendent of Saclepea Mah District Arthur Sahn thanked the Liberian leader for the timely intervention in bringing relief to the victims.

He promised the equitable distribution of the items to all those affected by the recent storms.
