Liberia has the potential to reduce the burden of malaria-US Ambassador McCarthy

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-United States Ambassador, Michael McCarthy, says Liberia has the potential to reduce the burden of malaria.

Speaking on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at the launch of the Treated Nets Mass Distribution Campaign in Paynesville City, Ambassador McCarthy said:” Other countries in Africa are moving towards malaria elimination and Liberia can do so by mobilizing the private sector and domestic resources towards malaria control.”

The US Ambassador added that with sustained focus, the Liberian Government can eliminate malaria, with support from partners.

Meanwhile, Ambassador McCarthy has reassured the strong commitment of the United States Government to work with Liberia and partners aimed at eradicating the threats of malaria.
