Collapsed bridge hinders key activities in Rivergee County

RIVERGEE COUNTY, LIBERIA-The only bridge linking Gbaepo Joeweken in Rivergee County with Grand Kru County and other parts of South-Eastern Liberia has collapsed.

ELBC Correspondent quotes some elders of the town as saying the bridge was constructed more than thirty-years ago and has outlived its usefulness.

The situation has resulted to parents being hesitant to sending their children to school on the other side, with fear of them getting drowned in the Noh River.

Meanwhile, residents of the area are appealing to the Government of Liberia to ensure the reconstruction of the bridge.
