First Dialysis Center to be built in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia is to shortly benefit from the construction of the first Dialysis Center, following groundbreaking of a thirty-room clinic in Johnsonville, in Montserrado County.

The Dialysis Center will treat patients with kidneys disease, cancer and other major health complications, when built.

The center is being constructed by the Brooks Health Center based in the United States of America.

According to the Head of the Center, Dr. Jeannette Brooks, her organization chose the Johnsonville area, because of constraints faced by residents in getting medical attention.

Dr. Brooks said:” The project is valued over five-million United States Dollars.”

She added that it was her organization’s way of identifying and buttressing Government’s efforts in the Health Care Delivery System of Liberia.
