Senate concurs with House on printing of new Liberian Dollar Banknotes

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has concurred with the House of Representatives on the printing of new family of Liberian Dollar Banknotes in the tone of forty-eight-billion.

The Senate took the decision on Wednesday, March 30, 2021, in an extraordinary session.

It followed a Joint Scrutiny Committee’s resolution from the House of Representatives.

The House last week approved the request of the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) to print new Liberian Dollar Banknotes.

Denominations to be printed are twenty, fifty, one-hundred and five-hundred notes, while five and ten dollars will be minted in coins.
