Police deployed a back-up force in Maryland County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia National Police says it has deployed a back-up force in Maryland County to stabilize the violent situation in the County.

Police Spokesman, Moses Carter, made the disclosure Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in Paynesville in an ELBC interview.

The violent protest was triggered by the death of a motorcyclist in the County as a group of motorcyclists and women are demanding speedy justice in the gruesome murder of motorcyclist, Modecial Nyema, by a man identified as Moses Mlabah.

The protesters vandalized Harper Central Prison on Tuesday night

Mr. Carter has assured citizens that justice will be served, but called on them to remain calm as the Justice Ministry probes the matter.
