Finance Ministry, EU begin two-day forum on support to Liberian Gov’t

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Finance Ministry and the European Union have begun a two–day forum in Monrovia.

The forum is being held under the theme, European Union – Portfolio Performance Review, focusing on the EU’s support to the Liberian Government over the years.

Speaking Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at the start of the forum, Finance Minister, Samuel Tweah, said the gathering is intended to review the Liberian Government’s development agenda from the EU prospective and its impact.

Minister Tweah said it is also intended to look at EU’s future development support to the Liberian Government.

Speaking earlier, European Union Ambassador to Liberia, Laurent Delahousse, re-emphasized the Union’s continued support to Liberia, in line with government’s pro – poor agenda.
