Gov. promises to pay over four-thousand Beach and Waterways Project Workers, signs MOU…….

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has made a commitment to pay two-million United States Dollars to settle all arrears owed Beach and Waterways Project workers.

Youth and Sports Minister, Zeogar Wilson, said:” The more than four-thousand employees will have a full settlement of their arrears within sixty-days.”

Speaking at a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony Thursday, March 18.2021, between the Youth and Sports Ministry and Coordinators of the Beach and Waterways Project, Minister Wilson said though the reclaiming Beach and Waterways Project has been terminated, the Liberian Government is working out modalities to create a new project.

Signing on behalf of former employees of the Beach and Waterways Project, George Young and Edwin Kanneh commended Government for listening to their cries to pay their just benefits.
