UN reassures of support to Liberia

SALALA, BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA-United Nations Resident Coordinator, Niles Scott, has reassured the Liberian Government of the UN’s continuous support to Liberia’s development programs.

Mr. Scott said:” The Government has proven its readiness to transform the Country, with the level of development initiatives in a short period of time.”

He spoke in Salala, Bong County, over the weekend at a women conference marking International Women’s Day.

Mr. Scott used the occasion to praise the Health Ministry for the mature manner in which it has brought the COVID-19 outbreak under control.

Meanwhile, the UN Resident Coordinator is urging women to consolidate their efforts in engaging issues affecting their wellbeing.
