Gov’t committed to empowering local farmers – Foreign Minister Kemayah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah says the Government of Liberia is committed to empowering local farmers to enhance their production capacity.

Minister Kemayah said every little effort by farmers in helping the Country in achieving food security will be recognized by Government.

He made specific mention of a physically challenged farmer from Todee, who was given ten-thousand-United States Dollars by President George Weah, after he was named “Best Farmer” at the National Agriculture Faire.

Minister Kemayah said agriculture remains a key priority of the Liberian Government under President Weah, noting that all efforts will be applied to ensure that Liberia achieves a reasonable level of food security.

The Foreign Minister was speaking Sunday, February 14,2021, at the close of the National Agriculture Faire in Bong County.
