14 suspected criminals in court for armed robbery, burglary… In Margibi County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – About 14 suspected criminals have been sent to court for their alleged involvement in the commission of multiple crimes, including armed robbery and burglary in Margibi County.

The Liberia National Police on Tuesday, December 30, 2020, arrested the alleged criminals during the Christmas Celebration.

They were arrested after setting-up road-blocks at various places in Kakata, City where they harassed peaceful residents and took away their cell Phones, cash and other valuables.

According to ELBC Upper Margibi County Correspondent, Elvis Gono several Police officers sustained injury during the arrest and are currently undergoing medical attention in the county.

Meanwhile, Margibi County residents are commending the Kakata Detachment of the Liberia National Police for the quick intervention.

The residents are also appealing to the Police to increase night time patrol to prevent the recurrence.
