Pres. Weah, Regional Leaders commit to ensuring peace and security in the Region

LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-President George Weah and other regional leaders have renewed their commitment to ensuring the peace and security of the region.

President Weah and his regional counterparts made the commitment Monday, December 28, 2020, at the inauguration of Burkina Faso’s President Rock Kabore.

Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie made the disclosure Monday, December 28, 2020, following the arrival of Liberian Leader at the Roberts International Airport in Lower Margibi County.

Minister Rennie said:” The Liberian Leader met with other regional leaders in a closed door meeting on the sideline of the inauguration.”

He said President Weah is committed to the protection and safety of the region.

Meanwhile, President Weah is expected to hold a year-end face to face meeting with the media soon.

Minister Rennie said:” The President is expected to brief the media about the prospects of the Government in the New Year.”

The Information Minister said despite the challenges and unsubstantial claims, the Government of Liberia will remain focused in its development drive.
