Nation Elections Commission concludes Senatorial elections in 13 counties…Declares Grand Gedeh County Zoe Pennue Senator-Elect

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The National Elections Commission (NEC) has declared CDC Zoe Pennue as the winner of the 2020 December 8 Mid-Term Senatorial election for Grand Gedeh Country.

According to the NEC Chairperson, Davidetta Brown-Lansanah Mr. Pennue obtained 8,228 votes, constituting 40. 44 percent.

Madam Brown-Lansanah said: “Mr. Pennue’s victory following the re-run of voting at precinct 15 in Grand Gedeh County on Saturday, December 19, 2020”.

Speaking at a news conference Monday, December 21, 2020, in Monrovia, the NEC Boss disclosed that technical teams from the commission are currently in Gbarpolu and Grand Kru Counties, assessing the areas for the possible conduct of the re-run elections in parts of the two counties.

Meanwhile, the NEC has completed 100 percent of the National Referendum results from Grand Gedeh and Sinoe Counties.
