Pres. Weah commends Liberians for peaceful, mature participation in recent elections

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has commended the Liberian people for their peaceful and mature participation in the just-ended 2020 elections.

President Weah praised the security forces for creating an enabling environment for the electoral process, which was void of intimidation and violence.

In a Nationwide Address Sunday, December 13, 2020, the President Weah said: “The electoral process as a victory for the Country’s democracy, which further improves its democratic credentials, and extended congratulations to all prospective winners in the final results of the elections.”

Liberian Leader also commended political leaders and their supporters for the level of discipline exhibited during the December 8 polls.

The President also thanked Authorities of the National Elections Commission (NEC) for proper planning and organization, leading to a successful democratic process.
