National Elections Commission releases additional provisional results for 14 counties, including Montserrado By-Election

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission has released additional preliminary results from the 2020 December 8, 2020 Elections.

The Friday, December 11, 2020, preliminary results covered 14 of the 15 counties except for Bomi County.

The additional six counties added to the first eight counties’ results released included Grand Gedeh, Grand Kru, Lofa, Sinoe, Rivercess, and River Gee.

In Grand Kru, LIN-Nathaniel Banwea obtains 3,515 countings for 23.6 percent, followed by CDC-Peter Coleman who got 2,998 amounting to 20.2 percent, while in Lofa County, CPP-Brownie Samukai received 6,284 votes which constitute 18.1 percent and CDC-George Tengbeh got 2,426 which amounted to 7.0 percent.

In Rivercess, Independent candidate, Wellington Geevon Smith received 2,438 votes constituting 32.5 percent followed by CDC-Dallas Guehn obtaining 803 votes amounting to 10.7 percent, while in River Gee, CPP-Jonathan Boye Charles Sogbie obtained 4,972 constituting 33.6 percent with CDC-Charles Brador got 4,598 votes amounting to 31.1 percent.

For Grand Gedeh, CDC -Zoe Pennoh received 3,941 constituting 41.8 percent, with LRP-Thomas Nimely obtaining 3,486 amounting to 37.0 percent.

Also today, preliminary results from Montserrado County District Nine Representative By-Election were released with CDC-Saah Foko receiving 2, 400 votes amounting to 33.4 percent with CPP-Fubi Henries getting 2, 305 votes counting 32.0 percent.

More preliminary results are expected to be released in the coming days.
