Liberia Broadcasting System begins official Home-Coming Activities

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Official activities marking the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) Home-Coming celebrations have kicked-off.

The activities began with a Thanksgiving Service held Sunday, November 22, 2020, at the Philadelphia Church in Congo Town.

The service was attended by current and former employees of LBS to give thanks and praises to God, for His blessings and mercies bestowed upon them over the years.

The event was organized by the Management Team of LBS, led by its Director General, Estelle Liberty-Kermoh, to create gathering for both current and former employees of the System.

It is the second time such program is held over several decades, with the first being held under the Director Generalship of Darryl Ambrose Nmah.

According to the official protocol of LBS Home-Coming event, the former LBS employees will work along with the current employees to spearhead week-long broadcast activities of the System, beginning Monday, November 23, 2020, to showcase their professional expertise.

The Thanksgiving Service was also attended by LBS Board Chair Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie.

Meanwhile, the Bishop of the Philadelphia Central Church, George Harris, is urging employees of LBS to devote their services to God.

According to Bishop Harris, their devotion to God will direct their path as they disseminate information to the Liberian people.

He also cautioned them to serve God with truth and their conscience.

Bishop Harris spoke Sunday at the Thanksgiving Service held at the Philadelphia Central church in Congo Town, to mark LBS Home-Coming Celebrations.

The Liberian Cleric also urged the System’s Director General Mrs. Estelle Liberty-Kermoh and LBS Board Chairman, Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie to be committed and loyal to their stewardship.

Bishop Harris preached on the theme: “Walking in the Devine Favor and Wisdom of God.”
