Angeline Kieh drops the bomb, wants to leave Earth Angels

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s best female footballer Angeline Kieh has expressed her desire to leave Liberian women Football giants Earth Angels.

Miss Kieh, in an interview with reporters, said:” I want to leave Earth Angels because leaders of the club have failed to fund activities of the club, as well as attending to players’ welfare.”

Miss Kieh who is Earth Angels’ all time lead goal scorer, won the 2018/19 Women’s league Most Valuable Player and top goal scorer awards.

The Liberian International says she wants to end her many years marriage with Earth Angels by the end of the first phase of the current league season.

Miss Kieh disclosed her intention, following the 10-0 embarrassing defeat to Determined Girls in the women’s Football league at the weekend.

Miss Kieh said the administration and technical staff of Earth Angels are to blame for the humiliating defeat to Determined Girls.

The prolific striker will not be short of suitors if she is put up for sale by Earth Angels.

With less than two seasons remaining on her contract, it’s not clear if the Earth Angels Management will want to let go their all-time best player.

Clubs in Liberia have had interest in signing the player over the years, but Earth Angels have repeatedly said the player was not for sale.

But with the player coming out to make known her desire to leave the Liberian women’s giants, pressure on the club top brass will only increase following the departure of several of their key players just before the start of the new season.

The Liberian International, in conversation with reporters, added that the Club leadership is no longer keeping to promises, something she said is embarrassing.

She said many players on the team are unhappy with treatment they are receiving from club.

The club’s management is yet to respond to Angeline Kieh’s pronouncement of desiring to leave.
