Health Ministry benefits from medical, COVID-19 supplies

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Health has benefited from a donation of assorted medical and COVID-19 supplies by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The items include seventy-four boxes of Isolation gowns, twenty-six cartons of N92 of Respiratory mask, eighty-one boxes of Albendazol tablets and one-hundred-forty-four boxes of Meclizine among others.

Presenting the items, WHO Country Representative in Liberia, Dr. Peter Clement said:” The materials are essential for infection, prevention and control of the pandemic.”

Dr. Clement said the supplies will also protect health workers in rural areas and quality of service, during the second phase of Coronavirus infection.

Receiving the supplies, Deputy Health Minister Dr. Francis Kateh lauded WHO for the donation.

Dr. Kateh said:” The donation will also help fight against neglected tropical diseases across the Country.”
