Minister Rennie Clarifies Liberia’s Covid-19 Fund Audit

Monrovia Liberia – Information Minister, Ledgerhood Rennie has clarified that the 48 million dollar Covid-19 fund currently under audit is only a projected amount under the budget framework.

Minister Rennie said having such amount under audit does not necessarily mean that 48 million was expended by the Incident Management Team and the Ministry of Health.

According to Minister Rennie, a preliminary report has been submitted to the auditees for their comments after which a final report will be sent to the President for further action.

Addressing MICAT regular Press briefing Thursday in Monrovia, Minister Rennie called on the public to be patient as the final report is being worked on.

He assured that Liberians will get a clearer picture as to how much was given and expended when the Aaudit Report is made public.
