LNP disrobes six officers from Lofa County Detachment over torture

MONROVIA, LIBERIA –The Liberia National Police (LNP) says it has disrobed six police officers from the Lofa County Detachment over torture allegations.

The affected officers include Inspector Christian Taylor, Sergeant Peter Baryan, Detective Andrew Tamba, Patrolman, Jacob Tamba, Frank Williams, and Francis Soniana.

Police Spokesman, Moses Carter said the six officers are undergoing investigation. Mr. Carter said the officers were seen in a video on social media.

He said the LNP authorities will not condone any act that runs contrary to the status of law enforcement officers.
