Pres. Weah says portraying negative image of Liberia undermines the country’s Tourism Sector

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Weah says portraying a negative image of Liberia through unpatriotic comments undermines the Country’s tourism sector.

President Weah said:” Consistently framing and propagating the negative side of the State will only discourage investors from coming to the Country.”

The Liberian Leader made the remarks during program marking the celebrations of World Tourism Day, at the Providence Island over the weekend.

President Weah said:” The natural and historical sites in the Country can be compared to other wonders of the world, if they are prioritized for touristic purposes.”

Meanwhile, President Weah has urged the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism to closely work with the Ministry of Finance, to develop programs and action plans to revitalize the Country’s Tourism Sector.
