Liberian Gov’t Engages Partners, Target Three Tourism Hotspots for Investment

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Assistant Information Minister for Culture Affairs and Tourism says the Government of Liberia is engaging partners to make tourism a priority sector in Liberia.

Minister Princess Turkolon said:” Government has agreed to invest in three designated hotspots, the Providence Island, Roberts International Airport and the Kpatawee Water Fall in Bong County.”

Madam Turkolon spoke Monday, September 21, 2020, to ELBC ahead of the 2020-World Tourism Day celebrations.

The Assistant Information Minister said:” The theater at the Providence Island  is being renovated to host hundreds of people, and the erection of a symbolic ‘Elizabeth Ship’ that brought the first batch of slaves returnees to Liberia and other artifacts will be showcased.
