Twelve Liberians to be deported today from the USA

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) says twelve Liberians are expected to be deported from the United States today, Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

According to the LIS, the deportees committed multiple crimes ranging from illegal possession of fire arms, assault, burglary and theft among others.

LIS Director of Communications, Abraham Dolley, told ELBC Tuesday, August 1, 2020, that the deported Liberians are being brought on a chartered flight, via the Roberts International Airport (RIA).

Mr. Dolley said:” Upon arrival, they will go through thorough medical checks, profiling and three months integration process. Those who committed heinous crimes, like illegal possession of fire arms, will be transferred to the Liberia National Police Headquarters in Monrovia for profiling.”

Meanwhile, forty-seven Liberian Migrants from Algeria have arrived in the Country. They were brought by the Internal Migration Organization (IMO) and the Liberia Refugee Repatriation and Resettlement Commission (LRRRC).
