Liberia’s Military official at ECOWAS Commission, Lieutenant Colonel Oyango Kole, is Dead

MONROVIA, LIBERIA -The Liberian Embassy near Abuja, Nigeria, has announced the death of Lieutenant Colonel Oyango Kole.

A release from the Liberian Embassy in Abuja says Lieutenant Colonel Kole died on Saturday, August 22, 20202.

Lieutenant Colonel Kole was seconded to the ECOWAS Commission by Liberia’s Ministry of National Defense in 2018.

The release also quotes the Liberian Embassy as describing the Late Lieutenant Colonel Kole as hardworking, patriotic and gallant soldier of the Armed Forces of Liberia.

Prior to this death, Lieutenant Colonel Kole served as Program Officer in charge of Personnel and Logistics at the Peace Support Operations Division in the Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the ECOWAS Commission.
