Nat’l Elections Commission begins candidate nominations this week

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has announced the commencement of candidate nominations early this week.

According to a release issued over the weekend, the exercise begins this Tuesday, September 1, and ends September 21, 2020, ahead of the Senatorial Election scheduled for December this year.

The Commission will also commence Voter Roll Update (VRU) from September 11th to 25th. 

The VRU will be carried by the Commission‘s Mobile Teams within fifteen days.

According to the release, the mobile teams will cover the two-thousand-eighty-registration centers across Liberia to complete the process.
