Liberian Doctors to be trained in key disciplines

MONROVIA,LIBERIA-Seven Liberian Medical doctors are expected to begin a one year Online Post Graduate Diploma studies, at the University of South Wales, the United Kingdom.

The scholarships are provided by Merck Foundation in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady, Clar Weah.

A release from the First Lady Office issued Monday, August 3, 2020, said the training is aimed at developing the first Fertility, Embryologists, Oncologists and Diabetes Specialists in Liberia.

The release named the Doctors as Louise Kpoto, Nowiah Gorpudolo-Dennis, Patience Mator, Rosalyn Teahjay, Peter George, Woheel Tarnue and Rosemarie Tuopay.

Meanwhile, Madam Weah has commended the Chief Executive Officer of Merck Foundation, Dr.Rasha Kelej, for the entity’s commitment to support Liberia’s growth and development, mainly in the Health Sector.
