Liberian Gov’t Vows to Regularize Civil Servant Salaries Payment, Despite Global Economic Down –Turn

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Government of Liberia has assured regularly salary payment for civil servants despite the sharp decline in global economic growth.

Government said it will continue providing citizens the needed basic social services under its Pro-Poor Agenda.

The Minister of States for Presidential Affairs, Nathaniel McGill, give the assurance Wednesday, July 15, 2020 on behalf of the Liberian Government in an in interview.

Minister McGill admitted that the Corona Virus pandemic has affected several areas of Government functionaries, including revenue generation.

But, according to him, the livelihood of citizens remains the priority of the government.

In another development, Minister McGill expressed optimism that the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) will reclaim majority of the Senatorial seats in the ensuing Mid-Term Senatorial Election.
