Labor Ministry Concludes Draft Workplace Guide to Stop Unnecessary Redundancies

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Labor says it has concluded a draft “Work place Guide Document” to stop unnecessary redundancies affecting employees of concession companies in Liberia.

Labor Minister, Moses Kollie, made the disclosure Friday, July 17, 2020 in an ELBC interview.

Minister Kollie said the document was drafted following the declaration of the State of Emergency by the President.

According to him, theWorkplace Guide “seeks to protect employees who are being threatened by redundancy action by concession companies during the ongoing health crisis.

Meanwhile, Minister Kollie maintained that Firestone Liberia’s plan to redundant over 300 employees on July 26, 2020   unjustifiable.
