Steering Committee on COVID-19 Stimulus Package says it has made progress

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government’s Steering Committee on COVID-19 Stimulus Package says it has made progress in the household distribution and community engagement.

Appearing before the House of Representative Thursday, July 2, 2020, the Committee Head Commerce Minister Wilson Tarpeh said:” The food distribution has benefitted at least fifty-nine communities and institutions in Montserrado County.”

Minister Tarpeh added that the distribution will be completed in mid-July, preceding distribution in other counties.

Also speaking, Health Minister Wilhelmina Jallah, said:: In the wake of the stimulus distribution, samples of people are also being collected.”

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives has rescheduled their appearance to one week, with a mandate to provide a comprehensive breakdown of the package and its beneficiaries.
