Govt. hails fallen Sinoe County District Two Representative

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has described fallen Sinoe County Representative, Nagbe Sloh, as an astute statesman and a strong advocate of media freedom in Liberia.

The Government also said the home going of Representative Sloh will not only leave a void in the National Legislature, but in the body politics of Liberia.

According to an Executive Mansion release issued Wednesday, July 1, 2020, Government’s consolation was contained in a condolence statement by President George Weah, to the National Legislature and the people of Sinoe County.

Prior to his ascendancy to the 54th National Legislature, Representative Sloh also served as a long-time journalists and former Director General of the Liberia News Agency (LINA).

He was elected in 2017 as District Two Representative in Sinoe County.

Meanwhile, some Representatives have paid tribute to their fallen colleague.

Representative Sloh died on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at the John Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Sinkor, Monrovia, following a brief illness.

In an interview with ELBC via mobile phone Wednesday, July 1, 2020, the Lawmakers described their fallen colleagues as an astute Statesman, who contributed to the growth of the Nation.

According to them, his demise has created a void in the National Legislature and the Liberian media.

The Lawmakers also extended condolences to the bereaved family and the people of Sinoe County.
