Vahun District wants more security presence in the area

VAHUN DISTRICT, LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-The people of Vahun District in Lofa County want authorities in the County strengthen the security presence in the area.

The call comes in the wake of reports of a pending demonstration and the constant flow of people across the border, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.

According to ELBC Lower Lofa County Correspondent, the call for an increase in security personnel was reached, during a meeting with the Commissioner and people of the District.

Our Correspondent said there are currently less security officers posted in the District to combat any would be eventuality.

According to our Correspondent, there had been riots between by some people, where the less security officers were unable to contain the situation, leaving many fleeing to the bushes.
