Former Nat’l Public Health Institute Head wants journalists trained in Communication Management

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Former Director General of the National Public Health Institute (NPHIL) wants the training of journalists in Risk Communication Management.

Mr. Tolbert Nyenswah said:” Editors and media entity owners should be brought together, given the facts on the transmission of Covid-19, to ensure that the message is disseminated with uniformity.”

Mr. Nyenswah asserted that health officials appearing on talk shows can be bolstered by the local media to provide detail to the public.

Meanwhile, the Public Health expert is calling for the change of strategy in the fight against the Coronavirus.

Mr. Nyenswah said:” The increase in the infection rate of the pandemic means the strategy is not working and should be changed.”
