Pres. Weah gives go ahead for rehabilitation of road from Gabriel Tucker Bridge to St. Paul River Bridge

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has instructed the Ministry of Public Works to complete the rehabilitation of the road linking the Gabriel Tucker Bridge to the St. Paul River on the Bushrod Island.

President Weah said: “The rehabilitation of the road is essential to the free movement of goods and services, especially at the Free Port of Monrovia, any delay in the construction of the road could negatively impact the economy of the Country.”

He made the remark over the weekend during an inspection of the road.

President Weah also inspected several community roads, including the Free Port-Billimah Corridor, the Banjor Community Road as well as the Country’s diplomatic enclave of Mamba Point.

Responding, Public Works Minister Mobutu Nyenpan assured that roads under construction across the Country will be completed at the scheduled time.
