Two jail for reportedly burning the palms of children

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A thirty-three year old man and his lover have been sent to jail for allegedly placing the palms of two children in a burning coal pot in Borbor Island Community in the Stephen Tolbert Estate area in Gardnerville.

According to findings from police investigation Tuesday, June 9, 2020, suspects Levi Padmore and Mary Kanneh committed the act on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, after the parents accused them of stealing money and goods from their provision shop.

The victims were punished and terribly flogged by suspect Levi who promised to burn them the next day, for the fifty Liberian Dollar worth of goods reportedly stolen.

It was established during police investigation that victim Padmore Jr. is the biological son of the suspect and step son to Mary Kanneh, while victim George is the younger brother of Mary.

The defendants had direct supervision over the victims as they all live in the   same house.
