Nat’l Security Agency Deputy Director is dead

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has confirmed the death of the Deputy Director of the National Security Agency (NSA).

Mr. Jones Blamo was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon, June 3, 2020, at a local clinic in Monrovia, following a brief illness.

Information Minister Eugene Nagbe told ELBC that the cause of death is yet unknown.

However, Mr. Nagbe said:” A COVID-19 test was conducted on the body of the fallen Deputy Director of the NSA Boss, and the result is pending.”

President George Weah has, in the meantime, extended words of condolences to the bereaved family in a telephone conversation with the widow.

Information Minister Nagbe quotes the Liberian Leader as saying the death of Jones Blamo is a great loss of the security sector of the Country.
