MONROVIA, LIBERIA – An assessment on female Genital Mutilation for female Zoes has ended in five counties.

The Coordinator of the Council of Chiefs and Elders, Setta Fofana Saah, said the assessment was intended to find out the number of women Zoes involved in agricultural activities.

She made the disclosure to ELBC over the weekend, following her return from Lofa, Nimba and Grand Gedeh counties.

Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of the Council of Chiefs and Elders has emphasized that the traditional people had promised donors that they would denounce female genital mutilation, if they were provided funding to venture into economic livelihood as an alternative.
