Gov. commences food distribution to vulnerable groups

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has begun the distribution of food to vulnerable groups in the Country.

The distribution is in keeping with Government’s commitment to assist vulnerable groups with food during the health crisis.

Speaking at the start of the distribution exercise Saturday, May 23, 2020, the Chairman of the Steering Committee, Commerce Minister Wilson Tarpeh, said:” The initiative is part of the Stimulus Program.”

Minister Tarpeh said:” The distribution will be extended throughout the fifteen political sub-divisions of the Country.”

Responding on behalf of some of the beneficiaries, the President of the Christian Association of the Blind and Proprietress of Love A Child Orphanage Home, Beyan Kota and Rebecca Brooks-Ward, praised the Liberian Government for the initiative.
